Aspire and Clouds team up

People living in Stainforth and the surrounding area who are experiencing difficulties with drug and alcohol use are benefitting from an enhanced service which provides onsite fast tracked counselling to aid their recovery.

Our community hub on Church Road, Stainforth, DN7 5PW has teamed up with Clouds Community Counselling Service to offer local people easy access to a range of one to one, group and online counselling in the same place at the hub.

Laura Jarvis, Team Leader at Aspire Drug and Alcohol Service, said: “We are very excited to be working together with Clouds.  Counselling is an important part of the recovery process in working with underlying historic issues that have often led to drug or alcohol use. Sharing the same building means that we can offer a seamless service for our clients and services users to improve their mental wellbeing and help them to overcome the barriers to recovery as well as offering space for Clouds for free to work with the wider local community. ”

We are run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) and registered charity The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) offers a comprehensive recovery programme to support people who are aiming to achieve a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.

Kevin Westwood, Lead Clinical Director for Clouds Community Counselling Service, said: “Working closely with Aspire means that their client group benefit from having the support and expertise they need in one space without having to travel to different locations. We offer a free service with the aim of responding to each person’s individual needs to help them to lead a better quality of life and build a stronger community.”
