Tim Young

ADS Chief Executive

Tim has had a wide range of jobs from factory work, teaching art and driving for a builders merchant before finally settling on an area he was passionate about, substance misuse. He has now worked in the field for almost 30 years. Tim has worked in a range of settings including community, residential and prison and has been responsible for a number of high profile projects. He was a member of the original group who designed and set up the partnership between ADS and RDaSH over 13 years ago. It was out of this partnership that the Aspire model grew.

Amongst his wide range of experience he has worked in a residential rehab setting in London. Then as a front line practitioner in Doncaster which then led him onto developing an outreach programme and service within Stainforth.

His key achievements have been supporting the initial launch and development of the New Beginnings Programme in 2005 which lead him onto managing the New Beginnings Service. During this period he developed the inpatient side from three beds up to ten beds. New Beginnings is a purpose built detox facility with a Structured Day Programme. Since November 2013 Stuart has been managing the Drug and Alcohol Service for Doncaster.

His enthusiasm about recovery from drug and alcohol dependency is infectious in all areas of the service.
