Family Room

A family sitting in New Beginnings Family RoomFamilies play a key part in the success of someone’s recovery.

New Beginnings provides family visiting on Sundays for people going through specialist detox, as long as the family are drug and alcohol free and supportive towards their loved one’s recovery.

Our family room provides a comfortable space for visitors, and is situated adjacent to the main programme, which gives people going through detox the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones at the weekend.

In addition, the service is planning to develop a family worker to look at the relationships, structures and behaviours that the family portray with a loved one who is involved in addiction in order to empower the change process within the family in parallel with the loved one’s treatment.
