A community of shared experience

People engaged with our services all have the shared experience of substance misuse. This community is better known as the recovery community.

People are often welcomed by a peer mentor who introduces them to the service through the welcome group and explains what they can expect and shares their story and experience. This orientates the new person into the recovery community and the service.

This immediately places people with a range of information and interventions within a community able to support them through their journey and offer mutual support beyond formal engagement with our services.
