A poem

When you think to yourself, you know that it’s true.

All everybody wants is the real Sue.

Look at the bottle and start to think again.

Has it really helped? Or has it caused more pain?

Have you been my comfort?

Yes I think I’ll say!

But it’s time to depart my friend,

I’m, going the other way.

The future is a step away, it’s now the time to choose.

Oh Yes! You think she’ll have a drink or two.

Oh no you’re wrong, I can also be strong,

Strong enough to walk away from you.

The first step isn’t easy,

Your trembling through and through.

Should I walk away?

Or should I see it through?

Brace yourself; make that first step through the door.

I know it’s scary so time to be strong.

Listen to what you are told.

Realise you were wrong.

You don’t have to beg for forgiveness.

It’s up to you to prove.

10 brownie points already,

For making the first move.

Life is really precious, treasure what you have.

Life is cruel, sad and happy that’s just the way it is.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s not just for the rest of them it’s now up to you.

Learn to love yourself again

And trust will come your way.

Think of it as a positive.

Tomorrow’s another day
