Sprotbrough diners raise funds for unit

A group of big hearted Sprotbrough people have cooked up a festive treat for local diners in aid of a Doncaster rehabilitation unit.

Members of Sprotbrough Park Methodist Church raised £70 at a fundraising Christmas lunch for the local community in aid of New Beginnings, which helps people recover from drug and alcohol addiction, and is run by Aspire Doncaster Drug and Alcohol Services.

New Beginnings Team Leader Clare Robinson who attended the event said: “A huge thank you to everyone involved for their kindness and generosity.

“Our service touches the lives of many families across the borough and it’s lovely to be recognised in this way.

“We’ll put the money raised to good use supporting people in their recovery by encouraging them to get involved in activities that re-connect them with the local community.”
