Aspire Drug and Alcohol Service’s Recovery Games will be back and bigger than ever on 18 August 2017 and registration is now open!
Held at the Hatfield Activity Centre, Hatfield Marina, Doncaster the Recovery Games have become a fantastic way to celebrate Recovery!
About the Recovery Games
The Recovery Games involve teams of a minimum of 8 people (no maximum) from services within the substance misuse or directly related fields across the United Kingdom.
The teams can be made up of service users and their families as well as staff (needs to be an equal service user to staff ratio).
The event will include fun, competitive, inclusive team based games. These will be delivered in a similar format to “it’s a knock out” style activities. To include archery, inflatable assault courses, water based activities to suit all abilities and age groups.
The main purpose of the event is to promote that recovery does and can happen and reduce the stigma faced by substance users and their families. Also to promote physical activities and making connections with the local and wider recovery community and services.
